My new words and songs

Last night Marcus treated us to a singing performance of:
* The Wheels on the bus, complete with the correct actions
* Gloop goes the little green frog with actions
*Hammer Hammer Hammer with actions
He was so proud of himself this went on for most of the evening until he went to bed!

This morning he looked in a book and pointed out and said "weta", "Kiwi", "frog", "bird", "buzzy" (that's bee).

Gran has had an operation on her nose and it's very sore. When I got Marcus up this morning he said "gan, gan sore nose, sore".

I'm off for crown preperation on my tooth that had root canal done a couple of months ago. As most of you know I HATE the dentist so fingers crossed this is a pain free visit, but I'm not hopeful having looked at google!

Saving those coins

Marcus is always on the scrounge for coins. If you are missing some they will be in his chopper!

I LOVE reading

I spent over half an hour looking through my books.

Daddy Day

It's an overcast Wgtn Saturday morning and Marcus had Daddy have gone to Percey's Reserve for a lovely walk and picnic. I believe there will be duck feeding and a waterfall so it should be a good morning all round. Our camera is broken, it has been sent to Auckland but it's not looking good that it can be fixed so there will be no photos for some time.

Mummy.... well I was going to do some paintings to sell on trademe but instead I am about to clean the house.

For those who are interested if you go to http://store.cheekymonkey.org.nz/kid-style/artola.html you can see some of my art works for kids. My name... ARTola. I think I'll have to paint another fire truck as Marcus has really taken to this so it may end up on his wall this weekend. Works in progress at the moment are a frog, a car and a bumble bee.

Marcus's new word thismorning........."oh shit" hmmmm I think I might be to blame for this one. I'm hoping the tactic of ignoring it will bring it to a grinding holt! Fingers crossed.

Fun times at the park

Through the tunnel

Bike Park Avalon

I think I'll just get off and run around the roundabout, this giveway rule isn't my style!

Swan Update.....

We are 25 weeks down with bubs 2 on the way and Marcus loves to listen to the heart beat when we visit the midwife. All is going well, in fact couldn't go better if we wanted it to. Fingers crossed it stays this way and we welcome a delightful wee boy into the family around the 23rd August.

Bubs room is ready and looking fantastic (well in my opinion :) and is a jungle theme. I'll get some good photos and put them up when our camera is fixed.

Marcus has come on leaps and bounds. He has so many words now I can't possibly list them all. He is speaking some sentences and follows most instructions well. He has decided that his slippers and gumboots are evil! The performance over wearing these is crazy so we have lovely new gumboots and slippers that are apparently only for dolly to wear! This term Marcus started Gymnastics. Aunty Hayley takes him every Friday and Marcus is a natural. He loves the trampoline (the long tumble one) and balance beam (preschool size beam). It's a great bonding opportunity for Marcus & his Aunty too, not to mention a break for Mummy.

Graeme went to China a few weeks ago, a fantastic experience for him, I'll let him write more later but poor Marcus suffered. He was distraught without his Daddy and didn't sleep a full night the entire time he was gone. We had lots of tears over Daddy photos and a total melt down when he saw a video of Daddy. I guess you could say that the Father Son bond is VERY VERY strong :) Note to self: no more oversears trips for Daddy that we don't go on :)

Better dash,

Love to all

My Trip to Auckland

When Daddy was away in China Mum took me to Auckland and we stayed with Sarah, Paul, Seb and Tabby. Sadly Mummy didn't take photos of much but she did get these of me at Butterfly Creek. I loved seeing the butterflys and HUGE crocs!

Marcus' new toys made by Mummy

Marcus what sound does 'o' make? His reply "oh oh oh oh" What a clever wee boy we have :)

Marcus LOVES his charts and is very good at matching the same shapes. He can recogise and say Circle.
